KLx has recently welcomed one of its partners from the Crédit Agricole Group to host the first edition of Green-Hack, an event dedicated to Sustainable and Green IT that gathered 60 participants throughout three intensive days.

The main goal of the Hackathon was to bring an innovative user-centric solution to life through Eco Design within 48 hours.

After the presentation of the Hackathon’s goals, teams’ composition, program, rules and evaluation process on Day 1, it was time to go design day and night. Six teams composed of workers from KLx and the partner specialised in asset servicing participated, pitching their eco-designed solutions on the last day of the event to the jury and an audience of more than 100 people.

The winner, Agile Tornado team, comprised of five people from KLx and two employees from the partner, proposed the solution AGILADO, an application that provides “a new way to create surveys and receive feedback from customers”, explained Diogo Bouça, one of the developers of the team.

Going into further detail, Gustavo Passos, another member of the winning team, said:

AGILADO is a solution to retrieve feedback from clients in real time after a demo. It's a dynamic flow where you can create your own survey by choosing from different types of questions (open text, yes or no, etc). After the creation, the client is notified via a portal to fill out the created survey.

The work sessions to build the solutions were only part of the event, which summed up five keynotes and six masterclasses. The participants could learn more about user centricity, eco-design, digital environmental impact, DevOps, craftsmanship, functional architecture design and, even, how to build the perfect pitch.

Team buildings and entertainment activities were also part of the Hackathon, which included coffee breaks, yoga classes and DIY demos.

The three-day event finished with a party at SUD Lisboa that celebrated both the end of 48 intensive hours and three years of collaboration with this partner.

Green-Hack #1 proved to be highly successful, stimulating idea generation and Green IT awareness. KLx is happy to have actively participated in this event, proposing solutions and contributing to the implementation of Eco responsible innovation.
