This week KLx organised a cocktail party to celebrate the inauguration of the building’s last floor and its rooftop.

For the first time, the event gathered not only internal but also external staff, joining more than 250 people in a relaxed and cheerful evening. The good food, drinks and music complemented the beautiful view of the Tagus river, creating the perfect atmosphere for the employees to get together and have a good time.

After everyone had gathered in the new space, there was a brief speech moment by KLx Directors, who seized the opportunity to greet the staff and emphasise KLx recent achievements and goals for the next few years. As Sara Mendes, Head of Human Resources, pointed out: “These events are important for people to meet each other and for the Management to explain what it envisions for KLx and the path that we will follow together”.

A highlight of the event was a game organised by the People Development Department which encouraged employees to complete a quiz in order to win 3 packs offering vouchers for experiences, such as spa days and outdoor activities.

Speaking about the rooftop opening, Fábio Silva, Head of Finance, said: “After almost two years, the renovations are finally over and our rooftop is now open. It is time to enjoy it and I hope that we can gather here on a monthly basis to celebrate what KLx is”. Pedro Farinha, Study and Development Engineer, agrees that initiatives like this are important for the company, “enabling synergies between teams from several projects”.

The inauguration of the 15th floor marks the end of the renovations of KLx Campus at Parque das Nações which occupies one floor of the Zen Tower and nine floors of the Fernão Magalhães Tower (TFM).

KLx Campus has seven floors of open space offices, a catering floor with canteen, and a floor entirely dedicated to meeting rooms. The open space offices count with lounges where employees can get together for an energizing coffee break or play table football during lunchtime. A wellbeing room is also available, where yoga classes will soon be offered to all employees. KLx also offers four floors of parking space, including 40 spots for electric cars.

The entire workplace, designed by a top architecture agency, was crafted to facilitate collaboration between people, as a means to reinforce KLx values of proximity, openness and teamwork.
